Bio
Digital Composer and sound artist born in 1982 in Rzeszow, Poland. Graduated in 2005 with Bachelors Degree. After being granted a scholarship at the University of Abertay Dundee in Scotland, emigrated to UK. While studying there he did all music related modules in Computer Arts faculty and at the same time, composed his experimental pieces. He graduated in May 2006 with Honours Degree. The following year he was awarded Masters by Research in Music Technology at the University of York.
Radoslaw Rudnicki has been making music since 2000. Throughout that time he composed pieces in various genres as Koshi Mazaki. His music collides experimental digital music with elements of jazz and dub, mixes improvisation, live sampling and sound synthesis with careful sound editing. Radek produced remixes for Nude Music (Germany), Katapulto (Poland) and Tidy Kid (USA) among others. He was also working as a sound designer and music composer with Pixeloza, Dhyaan Design, Lomo Poland and made installation in collaboration with Hedonskate. In 2008 Radek has been shortlisted by SPNM. He made pieces for theatre and film, game sound design and audio visual installtations. He collaborated with dance choreographers and visual artists.
At present Radek is doing his PhD studies in Digital Composition under Ambrose Field’s supervision at the University of York. He is researching on relationship between live performance and studio composition, investigating interactions between acoutic and electronic sounds. He is also producing music, designing sounds and improvising with musicians and performers. His latest interests include interactive audio and video. He performed and exposed his work in festivals and art galleries in Poland, UK, Italy, France, Hungary and Brazil.
